It is time for another round of travel, and my excitement builds! Off this Tuesday, heading to my "other" country to start things off---3 weeks in Ireland. Sweet! Time to restart this blog as well. Long overdue.
Specifics a bit later, but generally: Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, United Kingdom, China, United Kingdom, Italy, Ireland, America, Australia, New Zealand, and then back to America. Tickets bought up until Ireland (the 2nd time) at this point. All of that in 3 and a half months. 3 and a half fantastic months!!
Here is another video brought to you by Animoto----it is Costa Rica Remix! It used the same set of photos and a different part of the song to create a unique new mix. Genius!
Stoked!!! I was just putzing around on the net and stumbled upon Animoto.com. Fantastic! Allows you to create 30 second videos by just uploading a few images and a song snippet, and PRESTO, a short while later a professional quality personalized vid is born! Give me more! Here is one of my 1st creations below. Benitez, Ingrid, and I in Costa Rica in the spring 0f 2003. Pura Vida!
To be seen.... Random blurbs, probably, like the following:
I think this postcard is great! BFLO, NY. B-lo has been my home now for just about 2 years.... Big surprise to me---I know I never thought about living here until a week before I moved. Even after arriving, it took a good 6 months for me to get over my Rachacha superior attitude, and admit I now lived here.... Buffalo's image in my mind was not one of progress; in fact, it was the complete opposite. A rusting derelict, a few decades behind the times, a place where Ned Ryerson the insurance agent lived, toiled, and dressed badly (of Groundhog Day fame). A city abandoned. But after a year and some change, it is hard for me to even conjure up my old stereotypes.
Buffalo is Rockin', fer shur!!! I've had the great fortune of living, working, and playing in the city limits---getting to know bits of the history, the neighborhoods, the architecture, the night life, and, of course, the people of this funky town. Mo' Buffalo Pride. Bring it. And of course, I've still got plenty of Rochester Pride. So Western New York is okay in my books... Except, of course, for Batavia. Armpit. What can I say, it's fun to make fun.
Thanks to all the People of Buffalo who did not KICK MY A** those 1st few months....
